JULIA Gillard has not ruled out a prime ministerial wedding if her Government is re-elected.
But she says she would do so for personal reasons, and any such decision would not be taken alone.
“Number one, decisions about me getting married are not just made by me,” she said.
“Number two, the decisions in my personal life I will make for personal reasons. It’s my life and I will make my personal choices.”
Ms Gillard confirmed today that her defacto partner Tim Mathieson would live in The Lodge with her should she win the election.
It would be the first time that a female prime minister has occupied The Lodge and the first time a defacto couple have lived in the official residence.
