POLICE are confident they know who is responsible for the disappearance of Kiesha Abrahams and it is only a matter of time before the suspect is arrested.
Five weeks since the six-year-old was reported missing from her home in Mt Druitt, NSW, an exhaustive investigation appears to be close to a result.
Police sources yesterday said they were closing in on the person suspected of murdering the schoolgirl. It is understood police have had to take their time in order to gather supportive evidence.
But a spokesman for Strike Force Jarocin, set up to investigate Kiesha’s disappearance, would not comment yesterday on an imminent arrest.
The news of an impending arrest came as the child’s mother, Kristi Abrahams, and stepfather, Robert Smith, made an application to Housing NSW to be relocated from the priority accommodation they were given days after their child was reported missing on August 1.

A CHRISTIAN Democrat MP has been identified as as one of the biggest viewers of internet pornography in an audit of NSW parliamentary computers.
The audit, which claimed the front-bench career of a Labor minister yesterday, showed that adult content had been accessed under the Reverend Fred Nile’s log-on.
Sources said that up to 200,000 suspect hits had been recorded.
Mr Nile denied viewing pornography and said that his staff had used his log-on for research purposes. His office added that 200,000 hits was impossible.

POLICE are investigating a series of payments made into the bank account of missing girl Kiesha Abrahams’ mother and stepfather in the weeks before she disappeared.
Sources have told The Daily Telegraph up to six payments, ranging between about $500 and $600 each, were made into Kristi Abrahams’ and Robert Smith’s bank account – but they are yet to be explained or accounted for.
It is understood the amounts were paid in cash into the account at regular intervals leading up to when Kiesha, 6, was reported missing from Mt Druitt her home in Sydney’s West on August 1.
